Legal Requirements

Here at Britannia Security and Maintenance we offer Annual & Biannual service contracts for roller shutter doors to comply with the latest in H & S guidelines. It is now a legal requirement for your roller shutter doors to be serviced at least once a year to keep them safe and compliant.

As well as being a legal requirement, having your roller shutter doors serviced has a wide range of benefits both from a financial & safety point of view with expensive repairs being flagged and correct earlier on in the shutters life time.

Why do you require a service ?

Roller shutters are operated and used on a daily/ weekly basis, it is inevitable that they will become damaged over time with constant daily use. Servicing on a bi-annual/annual basis helps to ensure your shutters run smoothly and have a long life while keeping your site fully compliant.

What we offer?

With over 30 years in the industry we can offer a bi- annual servicing programme whereby our qualified door engineers will provide a full service on your roller shutter, provide a full written report and history on the doors and make recommendations to get your doors compliant with the latest health and safety legislation.

Current Legal Requirements

It is now stipulated within the Machinery Directive, European Standard EN12341 to 1:2003 that all types of manually and power operated doors are be subject to a controlled regular maintenance and service contract .
